Laser hair removal is one of the most popular cosmetic services performed at our Midtown East Manhattan location. At MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, patients throughout New York City, and New Jersey, love that laser hair removal replaces the hassle of having to tweeze, wax or shave unwanted body hair.
Laser hair removal has long been among the most popular non-invasive cosmetic treatments, with about 1.1 million procedures performed in this country every year. Hair removal is effective on most body parts. Among those most frequently treated are the:
Treatment causes only minimal discomfort. Patients often liken the sensation to the feeling of a rubber band snap. During treatment skin is continuously cooled with the flow of chilled air.
Each area of the body is usually completed within 30 minutes, making it easy to fit into most schedules, and even a lunch break. In addition, there is absolutely no downtime. Patients can return to their daily activities immediately following treatment.
