Melissa Rubin-Swelim is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, licensed in New York and New Jersey. She provides patient care at MDCS Dermatology, serving the Clifton New Jersey, and Marlboro New Jersey locations. Patients seek her expertise in managing medical conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, warts, psoriasis, moles, skin cancer diagnosis, and acute and chronic wounds. Melissa also offers cosmetic treatments including Botox, lasers, micro-needling, PRP, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and other skin rejuvenation
techniques.
Melissa completed her Bachelor of Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University and her Master of Science in Nursing at Rutgers, The State University, where she was honored with a teaching fellowship award. Her post-master education includes a certification in Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice and aesthetics certification. Additionally, she is a wound care certified specialist.
With over 14 years of clinical experience in private practice and acute care settings, Melissa is passionate about dermatology, skin health, and comprehensive skin care. She takes a personalized approach to healthcare, focusing on identifying the root causes of diseases through both conventional and functional medicine practices.
Melissa also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students, fostering the next generation of healthcare providers.
Melissa is an active member of various academic and professional organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, tennis, exploring art and history, and practicing flamenco and belly dancing.
